#12 use association time during the school day

1.5% 1
As I work in three schools, I am spread very thin and unfortunately do not have time to assume more of a leadership role.

1.5% 1
At this point I am not interested in holding a leadership position

1.5% 1
Basic information regarding the NEA is needed. Everyone just says that it is the right thing to do, but not a lot of talking goes on. I know that the website has plenty of information, but the representatives need to do a better job in communicating.

1.5% 1
Being new I have no idea how anything works. I was just pressured to join.

1.5% 1
Claude and Teri have ALWAYS been VERY helpful to me!!

1.5% 1
cross -fertilization of ideas is beneficial for all

1.5% 1
Do not have time to take this on right now.

1.5% 1
For people to understand the real meaning of a Union - for all groups (support & faculty) to work together for the betterment of the worker.

1.5% 1
I actually enjoyed the summer leadership. It was a great way to bring in younger teachers. How I was hooked! Also great energizer!!

1.5% 1
I am anticipating retirement and not looking for a leadership position at the time

1.5% 1
I am joining the ranks of the retired teachers, so I may not be going to future trainings.

1.5% 1
I am not interested in holding a leadership position at this time.

1.5% 1
I appreciate you asking my opinion on trainings.

1.5% 1
I feel the training that has been offered in the past has been excellent. The difficulty is getting people to attend the trainings.

1.5% 1
I find that I lack the basics of what the union could and should be doing in my school for ESP's

1.5% 1
I have found the 3 trainings in the fall at the Brandon Inn very helpful. I have been more than once.

1.5% 1
I have not been in a leadership posistion since I changed districts.

1.5% 1
I have not had necessary restraint training since I was hired 4 yrs ago.

1.5% 1
i still haven't taken any leadership roles w/i our local and will not be able to next year

1.5% 1
I think it would be great if VT-NEA resumed its summer training programs. It was a great opportunity to network. I have missed the summer training session.

1.5% 1
I tried to choose multiple answers for number 6, but it did not

1.5% 1
I was an officer of a local for many years, but am semi-retired now. I answered the questions as if I would continue to participate in local business. I am going to retire fully this summer.

1.5% 1
I would like to feel that it is very important but I haven't reached that place yet.

1.5% 1
I would love the opportunity to know more!

1.5% 1
I would travel for overnight but not far for school year -daytime 4-7

1.5% 1
I'd like to see a Team from our membership attend this and maybe focus on building a stronger organization

1.5% 1
I'm retiring this year so this might not be useful data for you

1.5% 1
It would be great if we had a written document explaining our roles as officers

1.5% 1
Local training is most convenient

1.5% 1
Many ESP members hold summer jobs!

1.5% 1
Merged Contracts

1.5% 1
More choices for answering questions would have given a truer answers.

1.5% 1
My greatest concern is that some in coming young members do not realize the ned to be paert of an association. Is this reality not adressed in their undergraduate programs. They are so naive and my exortations and encouragement falls on deaf ears!

1.5% 1

On question #6 it says to check all that apply, however once you check more than one the other disappears.

1.5% 1
Previous trainings with Sean Leach were excellent!

1.5% 1
Price of gas! ~ training sessions may have to be held in different portions of the state, otherwise that might limit attendance right there. Also feel overnight arrangements would be too costly to all involved, both association & individual wise.

1.5% 1
Regional bargaining sessions are helpful for networking. Mini trainings would be good at these time, too

1.5% 1
school day - during school as i coach 3 sprots after school

1.5% 1
Thank you for considering my wishes!

1.5% 1
thank you for what you do :-)

1.5% 1

1.5% 1
The higher gas prices go the less likely I would want to drive far.

1.5% 1
The monthly bargaining meetings have been very helpful!

1.5% 1
The summer, with advance notice, is a great way to do training. After school days are problematic.

1.5% 1
the topics I've chosen would be useful to all members, to help us build a stronger organization

1.5% 1
This did not apply to me.

1.5% 1
This is my first year as a member of the Union so I am not ready to be a leader.

1.5% 1
This is my next to last year of teaching and I have been a building rep, but that was as far as I wished to go.

1.5% 1
This was a very good idea in the past and should be reworked for our future

1.5% 1
Training locally would bring in more participants.

1.5% 1
training on legal aspects of issues would be great

1.5% 1
Trainings are usually very valuable, but life is complicated!

1.5% 1
Very good, workman like survey.

1.5% 1
VT-NEA has always done an excellent jon in trainings, just keep it going.

1.5% 1
We need a retirement incentive in the new contract. Please try to include this.

1.5% 1
We need more leaders, and we need to bring younger members along and involved.

1.5% 1
We need to continue to get (age and young) new members into leadership roles

1.5% 1
Weekend opportunity to have energy. Going after work, it is tough to keep stamina up. Specify outlines of information to be presented to participants. If doing technology or NEA resources shld have access to computers; brainstorm, share and converse...

1.5% 1
While I admire the VNEA and in particular the SBNEA and the leadership in South Burlington, I am disturbed that some much NEA money and time goes into promotions and correspondence that is unwelcome and unwanted. I have tried to stop these solicitations

1.5% 1
Will there be more women's leadership training? It has been at least 3 years since the last training. Usually not enough time to absorb/discuss with 1/2 day training.

1.5% 1
winter trainings are always iffy...summer and weekends are better...more networking with other members...
